For this project, we were tasked with adding Visual Effects to a shot that we were given. We decided to choose this shot which originally had an Aston Martin. We initially wanted to add a firetruck driving alongside the car, however, It did not fit well with the brief. Because of this, we decided to switch it up to be a convoy, with two jeeps escorting the luxury car.
My role in the project was primarily 3D Lead. I was tasked with assisting the 3D artists and making sure everything was submitted to deadlines and that renders were sent out to the 2D artists. In my role I also acted as a Production Assistant, fixing issues that other team members needed help with. I was also working on modelling the abandoned factory seen to the right of the second shot, as well as the crashed car and lamp post.
As 3D Lead, I was in charge of set dressing and setting up the whole shot. This involves Composition, Animation, Lighting, Layout, Rendering, and Lookdev.
