This is a ravine that I sculpted in Mudbox, textured in Substance Painter, rendered in Maya with Arnold and composited in Photoshop. This is my first time creating some form of landscape and I am pleased of the outcome. I wanted to make sure the scene seem realistic so I added many effects on in post. On of these effects is the god rays which makes the scene feel as if it is in a desert with lots of sand particles in the air. I like the composition of this shot because of how eye catching the shot is due to the contrast between the bright blue sky and the rocks and the overall saturation of the scene.
This is the breakdown video that I created after, showing how I composited the render and how I created the effects in Photoshop in a short video.
